Creating your emuMMC in Hekate

Step 1. Boot your switch with hekate_X.X.X.bin (grab it from here if you don't have it.)

Step 2. Tap emuMMC.

Step 3. Tap Create emuMMC.

Step 4. Tap SD Partition.

Step 5. Tap Part 1.

Step 6. Tap Close once the process is finished. This will take awhile, 10-30 minutes depending on your SD card.

Step 7. Verify Enabled! is shown, then tap Close. If emuMMC says it's disabled, tap on Change emuMMC, select your SD RAW1 and it should be enabled after that.

From here, if you wish to boot with Hekate see this page for information on how you can do that if using atmosphere. If you wish to just boot with your custom firmware's payload instead, you can just inject that and ignore both optional Hekate booting pages.

If you had games installed on your sysMMC that were installed to your SD card, follow the short steps below to get them over on your new emuMMC too.

Step 1. Hook your SD card up to your computer (using Hekate, sd card reader, etc.)

NEVER CLICK FORMAT IF WINDOWS PROMPTS YOU, CLICK CANCEL. FORMATTING THIS WILL DELETE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR EMUMMC!

Step 2. Copy your Nintendo folder that's on the root of your SD card into the \emuMMC\RAW1 folder on your SD card.

Step 3. Plug your SD card back into your switch and boot with your custom firmware's payload.

If you do not already have Atmosphere set up on your SD card. Use my guides to get yourself up and going.
